Jessica V. Taylor, MSW, LCSW-C
Founder & Clinical Director
Jessica V. Taylor is a licensed clinical social worker, mom, native Detroiter and proud Baltimore business owner. She is the founder of Therapy for Black Women, LLC (TFBW), a thriving group private practice committed to the healing, growth, and empowerment of Black women.
With over a decade of clinical experience and a deep understanding of anxiety, perinatal mental health, and relationship transitions, Jessica supports women navigating breakups, divorces, co-parenting, and the journey back to themselves. As a neurodivergent woman with ADHD and a co-parent herself, she brings a grounded, authentic perspective that resonates with clients looking for both real-world strategies and emotional healing.
Since its founding, TFBW has grown from a solo practice to a dynamic team of dedicated clinicians, serving hundreds of women across Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Under Jessica’s leadership, the practice has expanded its offerings, streamlined operations and created meaningful access to culturally-responsive, affirming care. In recent years, TFBW hit key milestones including expanding its team, opening the practice to include Michigan residents, strengthening internal systems, and deepening its impact in the community.
Jessica is passionate about breaking generational cycles, advocating for mental health in Black communities, and leading with care. She continues to build TFBW as a sanctuary for healing and a model of sustainable, soul-led business.
